RESEARCH PROJECTS
- Carbon Emission Reduction Policy Orientation in Chinese Agriculture and Its Application at the Local Grassroots Level(Capstone Project) 10/2022-Present
- Supervisor: Dr. Ka Leung Lam, Role: Research Assistant
- Conducted Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) through SimaPro V.8.3 software, merging second-hand national data from government disclosures with first-hand regional data collected during fieldwork in Tong Zhou district, Nantong, Jiangsu Province.
- Used the qualitative analysis method, combined with NVivo software to do a comparative analysis of the Chinese carbon emission reduction policy contents, and adopted the visualization program of NVivo to conduct policy cluster analysis.
- Evaluated the efficacy of China's emerging agricultural carbon reduction policies by conducting a comparative analysis of local grassroots-level agricultural emission inventories against national-level data
- Life Cycle Environmental Impact of Nitrogen and Phosphorus Resource Utilization in Urban Sewage in Jiangsu (Provincial Youth Science Fund Project) 07/2022-Present
- Supervisor: Prof. Ka Leung Lam, DKU, Role: Assistant Researcher & Leading Member
- Deployed meta-analysis methodology for research. Reviewed 137 papers on resource recovery from wastewater published within the last 15 years, using R software (version 3.4.2) for further Wilcoxon test and Life Cycle Assessment(LCA) results harmonization procedure
- Performed rigorous life cycle impact assessment (LCIA) consequences along with carbon accounting for nitrogen and phosphorus resource utilization from municipal wastewater treatment plants in Jiangsu, conduct principal component analysis (PCA) for main source of pollution detecting
- Function of Urban Green Space under Urban Inland Inundation 06/2022-08/2022
- Supervisor: Dr. Wanggi Jaung, DKU, Role: Research Assistant
- Implemented the choice experiment technique throughout the project, leveraging knowledge gained from the ENVIR 201 course on urban green space to assess its impact on urban inland inundations
- Independently developed questionnaires in both Chinese and English to evaluate the public's subjective perception of urban green space's potential mitigating function in urban inundations
- Collaborated effectively with a diverse group of partners, including fellow researchers from DKU, the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA), the Institutional Review Board of DKU, and survey delivery and collection teams
- Songhua Dam Watershed Management Project in Kunming, Yunnan, China 05/2022-09/2022
- Supervisor: Prof. Wei Sun, Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Role: Researcher Assistant
- Cooperated with scientists from a wide range of backgrounds, including chemistry, environmental science, geography, and life sciences
- Participated in the research "Songhua Dam Watershed System Management and Green Development Planning Project" with report writing up to 50,000-word
- Responsible for watershed ecosystem protection and restoration, comprehensive management of watershed pollution sources and green transformation of agriculture.
- Conducted literature review, field exploration and sampling of wastewater samples in the protected area, and raised plausible suggestions for future action
- China Anti-Bird Window Collision Action Alliance Project 03/2023-Present
- Supervisor: Dr. Binbin Li, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development Lab, DKU, Role: Research Assistant
